Chanalytical Laboratories, Inc. is a Maine-based water testing laboratory. Our primary service is the analytical testing and reporting of water samples; sample collection kits are provided as part of that service.

Returns Accepted: Defective Kits Only

Because our work is a laboratory service rather than a retail product, returns are accepted only when a sample collection kit arrives defective. “Defective” means the kit is broken, contaminated, or missing components necessary for proper sample collection.

We do not accept returns for change of mind, accidental purchase, or for kits where sample collection has been attempted or completed.

Return Window

Defective kits must be reported and returned within 30 days of purchase.

How to Return a Defective Kit

Contact Chanalytical at (207) 747-1815 or info@chanalytical.com to report the defect. Once approved, ship the defective kit by mail to our laboratory address; the customer is responsible for return shipping costs. We will inspect the returned kit and process the refund or replacement.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed within 5 business days of receipt of the defective kit. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

No Restocking Fees

We do not charge restocking fees on defective kits.

Exchanges

We do not offer exchanges. If you need a different kit or service, please return the defective kit (if applicable) and place a new order.

Lab Analysis Service

Once a water sample has been submitted to our laboratory, the analytical service is rendered and is non-refundable. Lab time, reagents, and analyst attention are committed at the time of sample receipt and cannot be reversed.
